Being the fourth largest city in the state of Kentucky, we have our fair share of bourbon distilleries and craft breweries. One of our distilleries is the 10th oldest in the state of Kentucky. How cool is that?

Green River Distilling Company
Starting in 1885, the 10th oldest distillery in Kentucky is the Green River Distilling Company, and we’re fortunate to have it right here in Owensboro.
Located on the west side of Owensboro, the Green River Distilling company produces three different signature bourbons in it’s distillery:
Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey – 70% corn, 21% winter rye and 9% barley with warming spice notes on nose and pallete
Kentucky Wheated Bourbon – 70% corn, 21% wheat and 9% barley with peach and caramel aroma
Single Barrel Bourbon – 70% corn, 21% rye and 9% barley aged for at least 5 years
All bourbon whiskeys produced by the Green River Distilling Company use locally sourced Kentucky corn.

Brew Bridge
Located in downtown Owensboro, the Brew Bridge is the first brewery in town since 1903.
The Brew Bridge began crafting fantastic local beer in the community in 2019 as well as serving up live music, food and local events.
Offering both locally brewed beers as well as IPAs and beer from regional breweries.

Pub on Second
Owensboro’s second brewery opening after Brew Bridge is Pub on Second. They are a full service bar but recently started crafting their own brew with the help from Matt Watson with the Henderson Brewing Company.
The Pub on Second has long been known as the place to go for craft beer in town serving up dozens of local and regional craft beers.
They would like to expand to a larger location but at this time they will be dedicating four taps to their in house brews.

Goodwood
Owensboro’s newest brewery is Goodwood Brewing & Spirits located downtown across from Smothers Park.
They are a family friendly restaurant and brewery that offers a wide range of southern comfort foods, appetizers, drinks and their own brewed beer.
If you’re looking for a lunch, breakfast or supper spot in town, then Goodwood has it all. You can get chicken and waffles, fried tomatoes, catfish and more.
Located in downtown Owensboro with amazing riverfront views, Goodwood is our newest brewery to check out.
