Smother’s Park
The City of Owensboro has done an amazing job and invested a lot of money and resources into bringing people downtown.
The interactive light show comes on every 15 minutes and flash to the beat of the music. The brand new Christmas tree for 2023 lights up and has a multitude of lights that are interactive to Christmas song classics.
All the trees in Smother’s Park are wrapped with lights and sync together. The bridge is lit up and there’s different LED displays for plenty of photo opportunities. Come downtown and see the Christmas lights!

Stonegate subdivision
Located off HWY 54 East of Owensboro, Jeff Lashbrook’s house is the main attraction in this neighborhood.
He has been creating magnificent Christmas displays for nearly 30 years and gets the whole subdivision involved.
He has a huge 20 ft. snowman with over 10,000 bright white lights named Fred.

Panther Creek Park
If you’re looking for a drive through Christmas light experience in Owensboro, then check out Panther Creek Park on the east side of the county.
Panther Creek Park has over 500,000 lights that you can stay in your vehicle and drive through and see the displays.
Admission is $5 and is a donation that supports many local agencies and volunteer organizations.

Legion Park
More than 200,000 lights are waiting for you at Legion Park for the annual Holiday at the Park Christmas display.
The event is hosted by the City of Owensboro and is sponsored by local schools and businesses who have added structures over the years.

Griffith Avenue
Known as one of the prettiest streets in Owensboro with houses dating back to the 1800s, Griffith Avenue is filled with beautiful Christmas light displays.

Santa Claus Land of Lights
If you head north 30 minutes from Owensboro is Christmas City USA, Santa Claus Indiana.
The Santa Claus Land of Lights is a 1.2 mile drive through Christmas display and known as one of the largest light shows in North America.
